Le acque del foro
Il foro era dotato di un complesso sistema di canalizzazione che prevedeva la raccolta delle acque piovane sia dalla piazza centrale, tramite canalette che correvano sotto i pavimenti delle botteghe, sia dai tetti tramite una rete di grondaie. È probabile che nel sistema di smaltimento confluissero anche le acque di scarico delle attività artigianali e commerciali.

Dove andava a finire l’acqua raccolta nel foro?
Come di norma nelle città romane, tutte le acque venivano convogliate in una fognatura che correva al di sotto delle strade e che qui a Suasa arrivava fino al fiume Cesano.

The Waters of the Forum
The forum featured a complex drainage system designed to collect rainwater both from the central square, through small channels running beneath the floors of the shops, and from the roofs via a network of gutters. It is likely that wastewater from artisanal and commercial activities also flowed into this drainage system.
Curiosity
Where did the water collected in the forum go?
As was typical in Roman cities, all the water was directed into a sewer system running beneath the streets, which in Suasa led all the way to the Cesano River.
